| BISS GCH Akiko's Carry the Torch, AOM "Apollo" |
This handsome young man is visiting Matagi Akitas courtesy of Nancy Fisk, Akiko Akitas. While waiting for the girls to come into heat, Apollo has been having a blast going to dog shows. In just 16 shows he has obtained his Grand Championship, taken two Group Ones a Group Two and a Group 3 along with being awarded Best of Breed at the Greater Baltimore Akita Club Specialty. |
But Apollo's most important job is being a great ambassador for the Akita breed. He is a sweet,
sweet boy, who never met a stranger and thinks everyone at the shows is there to visit with him. He
will gladly give kisses and hugs to all who ask.
His great temperament is a tribute to the fabulous breeding program of Nancy Fisk. Thanks again
for allowing us the pleasure of showing and loving Apollo.

| CH Akiko's This is How We Do It "Howie" |
This handsome young man was bred by Nancy Fisk, Akiko Akitas; and is owned by Matagi Akitas. Howie is the youngest boy here at Matagi. In May 2013 at the age of 18 months he walked into the show ring for the first time and walked out taking Best of Winners for a 4 point major! He followed it up the very next day, again taking Best of Winners, for a 3 point major. Four weeks later, Howie enters his second set of shows and walks out with another 3 point major, reserve to a 3 point major and a single point. The following week Howie wows in the show ring again and finishes his championship by taking a 5 point major at the Greater Baltimore Akita Club Regional Specialty! 3 weekends, + 6 shows + 4 majors = 1 champion!!! |
Apollo received an Award of Merit (AOM) at 2013 Akita National Specialty in Denver, Colorado. He also was invited and qualified for the Top Twenty at Nationals! |
